The IBPA is an all-volunteer group that promotes the health and vitality of Main Street for the benefit of Irwin and the surrounding communities. We generate several community events, such as the Car Cruise, the Ethnic Festival, the Community Flea Market, the Fall Craft Show and Festival, the Halloween Parade, the Light-Up Night Parade, and the Cookie Tour.

Irwin Car Cruise on Main Street

10:30 am - 4:00 pm

        One of the largest car cruises in the state revs up in downtown

        Irwin.  Antiques, classics and muscles dominate the streets, as

        the proud owners of these beauts strut their stuff.

Chili Cook Off and Wing Thing Crawl

      Local restaurants square off in a battle to the end (of the pot), as we once

      and for all decide who has the best chili and wings around... Until next year.

    After last year's success as a progressive ‘crawl’ to each restaurant , the IBPA will be hosting it again – the “Irwin Chili Cook Off and Wing Thing Crawl” on THURSDAY  February 12th 2015 at the participating downtown restaurants. Some of last year's participants were:

Jacktown Ride & Hunt Club

List of Participants will be posted Feb 2. 
 
Each contestant will provide a free sampler of their chili for public tasting. A panel of judges will select a ‘Grand Champion’. Each contestant will have Wings available for 50 cents. Drinks and other foods will be available for purchase at the restaurants.
 
The IB&PA  invites the families in the Irwin, North Irwin, North Huntingdon, Penn-Trafford, Yough, Hempfield, Jeanette and other nearby communities to enjoy this fun event
 
The winners will be announced at 9:00 PM. There is no charge for admission. Wings will cost 50 cents.    For information on this event, go to :
